Giovedì 9 maggio, abbiamo ripreso il ciclo dedicato ai servizi alimentari nel quartiere.
Dopo una breve introduzione di servizi esistenti sulla condivisione del pasto, abbiamo analizzato nel dettaglio il funzionamento del Restaurant Day, per capire se fosse possibile realizzarlo a Milano, all’interno della zona 4.
Il Restaurant Day è un servizio nato in Finlandia, ma che ha in breve conquistato un’attenzione globale. Si svolge infatti lo stesso giorno in tutto il mondo (la prossima data sarà il 18 maggio). Chiunque voglia aprire un “ristorante” per un giorno è libero di iscriversi al sito (www.restaurantday.org/it ), specificando l’orario di apertura, la location (pubblica o privata), il tipo di menu ed il numero massimo di partecipanti. Il “Ristorante per un giorno” non si è mai tenuto in Italia, quindi realizzarlo proprio in zona 4 sarebbe un’ottima occasione per aprire il quartiere agli altri abitanti di Milano.
Abbiamo esplorato insieme ogni passaggio del servizio, dall’iscrizione al sito, alla pubblicità dell’evento, alla preparazione e somministrazione dei pasti.
L’interesse si è rilevato alto, quindi nella seconda parte dell’incontro abbiamo approfondito gli aspetti necessari per la realizzazione vera e propria del servizio.
Innanzitutto l’orario di apertura del ristorante di zona 4: abbiamo pensato, in stile puramente italiano, di organizzare una merenda collettiva, quindi a metà pomeriggio. Il menu sarà legato alla tipologia di pasto, niente di elaborato o cotto sul posto, rispettando in tal modo le norme igieniche necessarie per eventi simili.
Un servizio legato alla condivisione del pasto si svolgerebbe bene in uno spazio aperto pubblico, come la Palazzina Liberty, al parco Largo Marinai d’Italia, magari predisponendo la merenda come fosse un pic-nic, con grandi tovaglie sull’erba.
Ora rimangono da definire gli ultimi dettagli e presto ci iscriveremo al sito del Restaurant Day (vi terremo informati).
Alla fine della serata abbiamo brevemente discusso dell’argomento del prossimo incontro (giovedi 16 maggio), ovvero la creazione di una rete alimentare di quartiere, sia digitale che analogica.
On May, 9th, we held the second appointment of the cycle dedicated to food services.
After a brief introduction about services on the food sharing, we analyzed in detail the operation of the Restaurant Day service, to figure out if it could be replicated in Milan, within the zone 4.
The Restaurant Day is a service born in Finland, but that it has quickly conquered a global attention. It takes place on the same day around the world (the next official day will be on May 18th).
Anyone has the desire to open a “restaurant” for just one day, is free to subscribe on the website (www.restaurantday.org/it), filling a form to specify the hour, the location (private or public), the kind of menu and the number of clients to serve. The Restaurant Day has never been held in Italy, and so make it happen just in the Area 4 of Milan would be an excellent opportunity to open the neighborhood to other inhabitants of the city.
We explored every step of the service, from the website subscription, to the advertisement of the event, to the food cooking and administration.
The interest was high, so in the second part of the meeting we delved into aspects necessary for the proper implementation of the service.
First of all we thought about the opening hours of the restaurant of the zone 4: we thought, pure Italian style, to organize a collective snack, during the afternoon. The menu will be linked to the type of meal, nothing processed or cooked on the spot, in compliance with the hygiene requirements necessary for similar events.
A service about the meal sharing will be perfect in an open, public space, such as the Palazzina Liberty inside the park Largo Marinai d’Italia. The meal could be prepared as a huge pic-nic, with big tablecloths on the grass.
Now we have to define the last details and soon we will subscribe to the website (we will keep you informed).
At the end of the meeting, we have briefly discussed about the topic of the next appointment (May, 16th), which is the development of a food network inside the area 4, both physical and digital.
